We’re thrilled to invite you to experience La Aqua Vida, our newest exhibition at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum open now through March 30, 2026!
A Celebration of Coastal and Underwater Worlds
La Aqua Vida brings together the work of artists Carmen Lamp and Thomas Hardcastle, whose shared passion for the ocean reveals the beauty, power and serenity of aquatic life.

Hardcastle’s vivid underwater compositions immerse viewers in the movement and mystery beneath the surface. His work captures the quiet drama of the ocean’s depths, light filtering through water, marine life in motion and the sense of wonder that exists just below the waves.

In complement, Lamp’s pastel seascapes explore the luminous meeting of water and light along the shore. Her soft yet expressive style evokes the calm, expansive feeling of standing at the ocean’s edge, where sky, sea and land blend into one glowing horizon.
Together, their works invite reflection on the fragile and awe-inspiring ecosystems that sustain life along our coasts and seas. It’s an exhibition that feels both energizing and meditative, a reminder of why we are so deeply connected to the ocean here in our coastal community.
