Speaker Series - Seascape Painting Demonstration with Jem Atwater

Jem Atwater is a classically trained oil painter and fine art instructor based in Ventura, California. She earned her degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she studied traditional painting techniques with a strong emphasis on foundational skills and visual expression. After relocating to Ventura in 2022, Jem fully dedicated herself to arts education, with a mission to make fine art instruction accessible, engaging, and personally enriching.

She teaches throughout Ventura County at institutions such as the Santa Paula Art Museum, the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, the Raminfard School of Arts, and her private art studio at Pacific and Main Creative Workspace in Ventura. Throughout the last five years, she has proudly taught 4200 individuals across the county, and hopes to continue teaching even more with the coming years.
