Founded in 2000 by a small group of passionate scuba divers, Ocean Defenders Alliance has grown into an international force for marine conservation, with chapters across California and Hawaiʻi. In this engaging talk, learn how volunteer divers and crews remove abandoned fishing gear and harmful debris, such as ghost traps, plastics and tires, that threaten coral reefs, sea turtles, manta rays, dolphins and other marine life.
Join us for an inspiring look at real-world ocean protection with the founder of the Ocean Defenders Alliance, Kurt Lieber, as we hear some of the incredible tales from over 25 years of marine conservation.
