About the event

Step into the wilds of northern Manitoba and experience the world of the polar bear. Join us for a fascinating presentation as we journey to the shores of Hudson Bay near Churchill, Canada, one of the best places on earth to witness these magnificent creatures up close. Renowned Photographer and speaker Ralph Clevenger shares his journey observing polar bears as they gathered along the frozen coast, waiting for the ice to harden so they could begin their winter hunt for seals.

This talk will explore the vital role polar bears play in one of the planet’s harshest environments, offering a rare glimpse into their behaviors, challenges and resilience. Most importantly, it will shed light on what is at stake for these iconic animals as the Arctic warms and their icy world begins to shrink.
