CIMM presents NAUTICA
"All things sea; by it, in it, and above it."
Channel Islands Maritime Museum invites artists to participate in the exhibition “Nautica, All Things Sea.” We are open to photography, 2D digital art, 3D art, painting, mixed media and installation art. This is a juried art show with cash prizes.

CATEGORIES & INSTALLATION
— Photographs & 2D Digital Art
Selected works will be no more than 24” x 36”, they must be framed, wired for hanging and will be installed by our curators & assistants.
— Painting, Mixed Media & Installation Art
The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her physical work to and from CIM Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). All works must be wired for hanging. The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 20 lbs. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.
— 3D Art
Artist may submit any size 3D art.
Free for the first piece, $15 for two, and $25 for three. Each artist may submit a maximum of three pieces.
All art pieces submitted are covered by the Museum Insurance Policy.
COMMISSION We are asking a 20% commission on all artwork that is for sale and all sales will be handled through the Museum Gift Shop. If a piece is for sale, it must be labeled as such. Art pieces sold will need to be delivered after the exhibit closes. If you are not selling a piece of art, please clearly note “NFS.”

— Please send us up to 5 JPG images (100-500 kilobytes per image recommended), and your bio. Please email them to “firstname.lastname@example.org.”
— Please write “Submission: Nautica – Category – Your Name’ in the subject line of your email.
Exhibition: July 1 – August 24
Submission Deadline: June 25, 2018
Takedown: August 25, 2018 10-5PM
Opening Reception: Friday, July 13, 6-8PM.

“Nautica, All Things Sea”, honors all forms of artistic expression and all materials – paper, wool, cotton, metal, wood, plastic etc. are acceptable as long as there is a reference to the sea; next to it, on it, above it and in it. All mediums are acceptable as long as the work is unique and awe-inspiring.
