at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum

Saturday February 18, 2017 from 10am - 4pm

sunday february 19, 2017 from 10am - 4pm

Visitors of all ages enjoyed an assortment of maritime mysteries associated with the life and times of historical characters, portrayed by volunteers in period costume, and heard stories about the fascinating maritime heritage surrounding rare and beautiful paintings dating back to the 1600s, world-class ship models and maritime artifacts, at the third annual Channel Islands Maritime Museum “Art Comes Alive” event!

Docents and friends of the museum dressed up in costume and celebrated the spirit of various paintings, ship models, and time periods featured in the pieces on display in the galleries. The characters, brought to life, shared fascinating stories and facts about the pieces they represent, creating an exciting experience unlike any other!

This family-friendly event included children’s activities in the front garden and inside the museum!
